A big thanks to all who were able to attend our Senior Presentation Night and Junior Presentation Day last weekend. Both presentations were successful, well supported and demonstrate the success of season 2017.

Leonie, Pat and the Gilbert family who have been long term servants of the club are returning to Melbourne to live. We would like all to recognise their efforts with the club since its inception and wish them all the best for their future.

Finally, we still have three teams alive and kicking in the finals. All members and supporters are encouraged to get along and support our teams this weekend at Korumburra.

FINALS – Wrap
.
Well we were one win and two losses from the first week of the finals at Phillip Island. Minor premiers the U14s had a sound 5-2 win over Leongatha and move into the Grand Final in a fortnight. The U15s Girls and Reserves came up against powerful Phillip Island sides, both fought hard but couldn’t come home with the choccies.

The second week of finals is on this Sunday 17 September @ Korumburra Recreation Reserve, Korumburra.

There is an entrance fee for the finals – $5 adult, gold coin for kids – all monies collected will come back to the clubs.

Annual General Meeting

Thanks to all of our members that attended the AGM on Saturday. We still have some outstanding positions on the committee and we are very keen for people speak to the committee about any of these roles.
.
Specifically PRESIDENT (incumbent Mark Donohue will retire from the Presidents role once the lighting project is complete in late 2017), VICE PRESIDENT and GENERAL COMMITTEE POSITIONS. Other roles that will be vacant in 2018 are that of Junior Coordinator, Marketing and Sponsorships, Match Day Coordinator.

GSL Awards Presentations Friday 15 September

The GSL’s night of nights will be held on Friday 15 September at the Korumburra SC clubrooms. This is an event for senior players. We have a table booked so if senior players are interested in or are in line for an award you attendance is encouraged – please contact Vaughan Gleeson.
