With the success of the U16s (“the factory”) and the Senior Men’s team in last Sunday’s semi-finals we have three sides competing in Sunday’s Grand Finals. 14s, 16s and Seniors.
This is a terrific effort. We will have the second most teams in the GFs behind Phillip Island. Best of luck to all players!
The two semi-finals last Sunday were gripping affairs. The U16s had to do it in extra time with Nick Mattheson nailing an extraordinary free kick to see the team through, 3-2. This goal topped off some terrific grit from the 16s to hang in there against a tough Mirboo North side. Archie Paxton’s two goals in regulation time were vital. The seniors like the U16s had to tough out a very close 3-2 result against Mirboo North’s seniors.
All members and supporters are encouraged to don the RED & YELLOW and get along to support our teams this weekend at Drouin’s Bellbird Park.

There is an entrance fee for the finals – $5 adult, gold coin for kids – all monies collected will come back to the clubs.

GSL Awards Presentations

At the recent GSL Presentation evening, Inverloch Stars’ San Oo was the runner-up in the League’s Senior Men’s Fairest and Best count.
San Oo has had a terrific season, netting 17 goals so far this season with more to come we hope. San Oo and the Senior Men’s team are through to this Sunday’s Grand Final against Phillip Island.
Congratulations, San Oo.
