Opening Round Sunday 22 April 2018

Just five more sleeps until the 2018 season gets underway. The Inverloch Stars season kicks off with a home fixture at Thompson Reserve, Inverloch, against Prom Coast.
.
The Prom Coast only have limited teams though so ONLY THE U8s/U10s/U14s and WOMEN will be playing this week.

Players are asked to arrive 45 minutes early to prepare for their match.

Weekly Set Up and Pack Up
.
Each week we need a handful of people to help set up the grounds prior to the day’s play.
.
We need to set up the goals for the Mini Roos as well as the nets, corner posts and seating for Pitches 1 & 2. Volunteers are requested to arrive at by 8.15am to assist with the set up.
.
At the end of the mornings Mini Roos fixtures parents are requested to help pack up the Mini Roos goals and equipment. Please just don’t run off – please help. If everyone pitches in the pack up can be done in five minutes.

Thompson Reserve – the Inverloch Stars home ground has once again come up a treat for the new season.
.
We should see lights very soon! The final touches are going on at the moment at teams will be training under lights by the end of the month.

Training – this week!
.
Training is in full swing this week in preparation for the opening round…Get along! Thompson Reserve, Inverloch.
.

Juniors (U6-U12) training will commence at 4.15pm. (Wednesday) – 4.30 for U10s Under 14/16s from 5pm. (Wednesday) Seniors from 5.30pm. (Monday and Wednesday) – Watch Team App for changes to time and location.

Canteen
.
We have three co-managers of the canteen this year – Mel Gibson-Goldsmith, Julian Ambrose and Annie Gleeson… but they still need plenty of help.
.
If you can assist with the canteen duty, cooking a few snags or baking on any of our home games please see Mel, Julian or Annie to let them know how you can help.

Pre-Season Korumburra Cup Competition

Fantastic effort by our Senior team. In horrendous weather conditions they managed to play in the Korumburra Cup Final but gallantly went down in defeat 0-1 ⚽️
