Round 8 Wrap
.
Firstly, Saturday night, what a night at the Angling Club to celebrate Australia’s first match in this year’s World Cup. Not quite the result we were after but it was terrific to see so many players, supporters and kids there to cheer on our boys. Well done to all of the helpers who put on the event, Thanks to all who supported us. Great club spirit.

On Sunday we had an interesting set of fixtures, most of the club had a bye, however the U12s went over to Phillip Island to play their ‘B’ side. The kids gave their best, but would go down 1-5. Meanwhile, the Women and Seniors teams faced new bods Warragul on their dung heap (literally) and would come away with the chocolates. The Women came out well on top winning 4-1 while the Seniors would come away 5-3 victors in a tough scrap.

Committee News
.
We are seeking players, parents and supporters to assist on the Soccer Club Committee. Our president has recently retired and at the end of the season, our secretary of the last three years steps down. To keep the club all tickety-boo we need parents and players to support the club, getting involved at team and club level. As a member of the committee, you can have input into the running of the club and its direction.

Our next committee meeting is on Tuesday 26 June 2018, 7pm, Inlet Hotel.

The next home game for us in Round 9 vs Wonthaggi so we will need some helpers to set up the goals and nets. Can helpers please be on hand by 8.15am. See Al Starkey.
