Round 13 Wrap
.
A winning round on balance for the Stars teams. The men’s particularly enjoyed strong wins and the U14s were back on the winners list after a couple of tough weeks against some bigger opponents. All of our senior teams are in contention for finals this season so we are looking for some strong results sure up those top four spots this week.
.
• Seniors – win 9-1
• Women – drew 1-1
• Reserves – win 10-1
• U14s -win 7-1
• U12s – loss 1-2
.
Over the bridge and into Island territory this week as the have a challenging set of fixtures against the Breakers on Sunday. The Phillip Island team will be conducting an Indigenous Round this Sunday. As a result of the Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony being conducted at the ground the U12s match will have a delayed kick off at 10.45am. See the Facebook link below for further information. Key Dates to Wrap Up of the Season 2018

Crikey, the end of the season is coming up quickly, as are the finals. As mentioned above all of our senior sides are inline to play finals this season. Dates are listed below, finals will depend upon final ladder positions. Plenty of other stuff on as well so have a close read of the information below.

1. Finals 2018
This year’s finals series dates and locations are booked in and Inverloch is lucky enough to host the playoff between 2nd and 3rd.

Semi Final – 1v4 – 9 September 2018; @ Leongatha
.
Semi Final – 2v3 – 16 September 2018; @ Inverloch
.
Grand Final 23 September 2018; @ Mirboo North
.

2. Light Up the Stars Ceremony – tbc
Finally with the final fourth lighting tower being we would like to celebrate and acknowledge the hard work and efforts of all of those who have supported the project. The Light Up the Stars Ceremony will be after training in coming weeks.

.3. Mini Roos / Juniors Presentations 6-14s – .Sat 8 September 2-4pm – Thompson Reserve Clubrooms
.
We’ll wrap up the Junior season this year with our Annual Presentation Afternoon. The ceremony will get under way at 2pm with a bit of afternoon tea afterwards. Everyone is asked to bring a plate.
.
Post ceremony we’ll run a Kids v Parents match – after a year of training and hard fought matches the kids will hard to beat!! Bring your runners!

4. Senior Presentation Night – Fri 14 September 6pm – Inlet Hotel
.
To kick off a big weekend of Stars Soccer we’ll be conducting our Annual Presentation Night at the Inlet Hotel on Friday 14 September from 6pm. This will be great night of celebration and anticipation as our senior teams get set for finals action.
.
Dinner from about 6.30pm will probably be along the lines of the burger night arrangement of last year. Pre-purchase of burgers will be available shortly and is vital to help the evening run smoothly.
